Curvy Girls Fashion Guide: Everything You Need To Know!

I have been thinking about starting this series of fashion tips for us curvy women for quite some time, and I am finally ready to share some of things I know about being a curvaceous woman! First let me start off by saying, there are many different types of curvy body shapes and sizes. You can have a skinny woman with curves, a plus sized woman with curves, and everything in between with curves, so there is no true size definition on what is considered "curvy". For me personally, I am one of the "in between" women; I'm neither skinny nor plus size, but I have a ton of curves which makes me qualified to teach you a few things!

A woman's body is probably one of the most beautiful things God created, and women are finally embracing those God given gifts right above and below our waistlines! Speaking of the waistline, that is the most important area of your body when it comes to defining your curves. In the 1900's women wore corsets to cinch the waist, and accentuate the bust and hips and today, women are doing everything in their power to keep a slim waist, but continue to have nice boobs and a big booty! We all want that hourglass shape, but the truth is some women are more endowed in the bust and others in the hips/butt however, your curves cannot be denied if your waistline is cinched, as it should be.

Taking your measurements should be the first step to figuring out the type of curvy woman you are, and those measurements should be your guide to help you shop for the right clothes. A lot of women make the mistake of not shopping for the correct sizes, and that can ultimately make you either look out of shape or just a mess! I take my measurements once a month because I am working out frequently and sometimes you lose inches instead of pounds, and trust me losing inches will affect the way your clothes fit. I tend to buy clothes that are very fitted, and clothes that accentuate my hips and butt because I am smaller up top. Having a smaller bust with such large hips means I have to find ways to increase my bust line, which keeps me from having an obvious pear shape look. I usually find ways to do that through undergarments, which I'll get into in my next post...stayed tuned & love your curves ladies!

Christian Louboutin Releases Cinderella "Slippers" Pumps

Christian Louboutin has teamed of with Disney to bring the infamous glass slipper Cinderella wore, to life! The Swarovski crystal covered, lace, red bottom pump is designed to be that perfect fairytale shoe and also will be promoted during the release of Disney's Cinderella blu-ray dvd in October. The designer will be be giving away 20 pairs of the Cinderella slipper pumps this fall, turning "anyone into modern day Cinderellas", Louboutin says. Disney and Louboutin will release giveaway information August 17th (I'll be entering!) .

2012 BET Awards Red Carpet Photos Roundup: Beyonce, Jay Z, Kanye & Kim Kardashian

This was such an interesting setup on the first row of the 2012 BET Awards, you have Solange (on the left of Bey), Beyonce, her hubby Jay Z, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian (who looked so awkward the whole night), and Nicki Minaj was sitting to the right of Kim! The tweets about this first row were on a roll last night (including mines), but hey they all looked great!

There were not too many "fabulous fashions" walking this runway, so I picked the best looking people of the night. Beyonce looked stuning in this yellow gown with a thigh high slit, and the metallic belt was a a perfect touch.

Eddie Murphy's new boo Rocsi looked cute in the gold embellished dress.

LeToya Luckett and Michelle Williams posed together, LeToya's dress was cute and classy.
